Admissions Requirements

  1. High School Graduation or equivalent OR mature student status (19 years or older prior to starting the program)
  2. Meet one of the following English Language Proficiency requirements:
    a. Minimum Grade 12 English (Domestic Students)
    b. For English as second language students;
    i. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall band of 5.0 or higher, with a minimum 5.0 in each band,
    ii. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT) 38,
    iii. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL PBT 423-427
    iv. Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) 600,
    v. Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) 6 or higher, with a minimum of 5.0 in all four skills,
    vi. Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL): Score of 35 or higher with no sub score less than 35,
    vii. Pearson Test of English (PTE): Score of 35 or higher,
    viii. Cambridge English Language PET,
    ix. Language Proficiency Index (LPI): Level 4 with an essay score of 26 or higher,
    x. Duolingo English Test (DUOLINGO) 90
    c. Pass the College’s English Assessment test with 60% or higher.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of the program, you will be able to:

  • Support clients or organizations and teams by providing desktop and server support
  • Administer and implement processes for data backups and recovery systems
  • Monitor the performance and access of computer systems and networks
  • Identify organizations needs, map a plan and implement computer networking systems
  • Maintain, monitor and troubleshoot diagnostic problems with Windows, Linux and Cisco systems
  • Deploy and manage networking infrastructure for on-premise and cloud based environments
  • Understand and apply IT system and data security policies
  • Perform basic container operations and analyze storage issues and network resource issues
  • Project management and proposals for small to medium size IT endeavors
  • Knowledge surrounding organizational needs for hardware, software, networking, operating systems and various software applications including the installation and ongoing maintenance of these items
  • In-depth knowledge of Implementing Ethernet LANs, Implementing VLANs & STPs, IPv4 addressing & routing, OSPF’s IPv6’s·and Wireless LANs.
