Cambria College Information for Displaced Pacific Link College Students

In light of the recent closure of Pacific Link College (PLC) and the impact this has had on many students currently in full-time studies, Cambria College wishes to express our support for affected students who may be interested in completing their post-secondary education with us.

The Private Training Institutions Regulatory Unit (PTIRU) has shared information with institutions that have expressed interest in supporting displaced students, including program and course details. This allows colleges like Cambria to identify comparable program options.

After reviewing this information, Cambria College has identified our Digital Business Management (with or without co-op) and Hospitality Management (with or without co-op)  programs as two strong options for affected PLC students.

Our international student services team is ready and available to support you through this transition and help you return to your studies as soon as possible.

Next Steps:

1. Learn About Our Programs

Visit the program pages for Digital Business Management and Hospitality Management on our website to learn more. We also encourage you to review our Student Services section to understand the resources and supports available to international students

2. Complete the Inquiry Form

Once you’ve chosen the program that best suits your goals, please complete the Pacific Link College PLC Transfer Inquiry Form above. The more details you provide, the faster and more effectively we can assist you. You will need to upload the following documents (if available):

  • Your most recent PLC transcript
  • Proof of a valid study permit and, if applicable, a valid co-op work permit
  • Proof of English proficiency for admission (see the “Admission Requirements” section on each program page for acceptable tests)

If you do not yet have these documents, please still contact us! Our International Student Services team can provide guidance and help you determine your next steps.

3. Watch for Our Follow-Up

Monitor your email and phone for messages from Cambria College. We will reach out to schedule an information session—either in person or online via MS Teams. During this session, we’ll discuss program details, admission requirements, class schedules, and any questions you may have. If you decide to proceed, our team will guide you through the enrolment process.

Where will I study if I enroll at Cambria College?

Cambria College is in Surrey at 10388 Whalley Boulevard, just a 10-minute walk from Surrey Central SkyTrain station. We have two adjacent locations, and classes may be held in either building.

What are the class schedules like?

Students in our Digital Business Management and Hospitality Management programs attend classes three days per week (total of 20 hours). Classes combine two days on campus with one day of online learning. Schedules may include morning or afternoon classes, typically running Monday–Wednesday, Wednesday–Friday, or Thursday–Saturday, depending on the cohort. Enrolled students will be assigned to a cohort/schedule based on availability at the time of enrolment.

I have already completed several courses at PLC. Can I receive credit for them?

Yes. Once you submit your most recent transcript, we will conduct a Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) to determine any transfer credits you may be eligible for.

When can I begin my studies?

Please refer to IRCC’s official guidance on changing your school or program, as this may affect your study permit. You may be permitted to begin studying at Cambria while your study permit extension is being processed, as outlined by IRCC. Cambria programs have monthly intake dates, and in some cases, multiple start dates per month.

How much will tuition cost?

Tuition and related fees (application, textbook, etc.) vary depending on how many credits can be transferred from your previous studies. Our admissions team will review this during your assessment.

Do I need to have all my documents ready before I contact Cambria?

No. While providing documents early helps us assist you faster, we encourage all affected students to reach out. Even if you don’t have your documents yet, our team is happy to answer your questions and help you explore your study options.
