Becoming a Professional Supply Chain Management Professional

This program allows the students to learn the fundamental management techniques in the practical world of supply chain management. Supply Chain Management (SCM) with Co-op graduates will develop their competence and specialized skill set in both the manufacturing and service industries.

Students will also learn the complex transformation path of moving the goods from the source to consumers. The course also articulates knowledge, skill, and ability in areas of the transportation and warehousing sectors. Students will have a greater understanding of risk management in supply chain and strategies of mitigation.

Various subjects in the program would provide a well-rounded knowledge required by small and medium enterprises. Industry based case studies will stimulate a greater understanding of the issues faced in the operations and supply chain management.

This program is eligible for up to $3,000 in scholarships.

Co-op Placement Option Available

Cambria College offers a 41-week* Supply Chain Management program for those who wish to take a shorter program and quickly start a career. Alternatively, you can spend an additional 35 weeks* completing a 760-hour co-op placement.

This gives you a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience and develop professional networks while completing your Diploma program. You’ll gain comprehensive knowledge and skills that you can apply in any hospitality setting.

Admissions Requirements

  1. High School Graduation or equivalent OR mature student status (19 years or older prior to starting the program)
  2. Meet one of the following English Language Proficiency requirements:
    a. Minimum Grade 12 English (Domestic Students)
    b. For English as second language students;
    i. International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall band of 6.0 or higher, with a minimum 6.0 in each band,
    ii. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL iBT) 73,
    iii. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL PBT) 540-543,
    iv. Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC) 700,
    v. Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) 7 or higher, with a minimum of 6.0 in all four skills,
    vi. Canadian Academic English Language Assessment (CAEL): Score of 50 or higher with no sub score less than 50,
    vii. Pearson Test of English (PTE): Score of 46 or higher,
    viii. Cambridge English Language FCE,
    ix. Language Proficiency Index (LPI): Level 4 with an essay score of 26 or higher,
    x. Duolingo English Test (DUOLINGO) 95
    c. Pass the College’s English Assessment test with 60% or higher.

Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of the program, you will be able to:

  • Examine connections between supply chain design, processes and roles, stakeholder expectations, operations, logistics and distribution to guide critical and analytical thinking and communication skills to problem solving and coordination of tasks.
  • Determine financial implications of supply chain decisions and design and value add to the overall business profitability, improve efficiencies and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Apply risk mitigation strategies and create efficiencies within supply chain management decisions
  • Provide leadership and decision-making skills when handling the movement of goods, services, and materials between supply chains
  • Utilize appropriate technologies to streamline efficiencies within workplace performance functions, transactions, and communications
  • Display and apply leadership skills to manage and secure strategic relationships with stakeholders to support operational business targets
  • Apply latest industry related technologies, monitor industry trends, observe both domestic and international economies along with political environments to guide decision making and business goals
  • Procure optimal inventory and materials management to ensure that the proper balance between production and capacity are reached
